P and O cruises are a very popular brand which offers cruise vacations to many destinations throughout the world as well as providing excellent Western Mediterranean cruises.

Let us have a look at their eight ships and pick out some information that might help you to choose your cruise holiday.

They first little group are quite unique in that they are exclusively for adult travelers.

There are many more cruise vacations being taken by older people these days and they do sometimes to make it a get away from the children and grandchildren so this can be a big advantage if you want a nice quiet relaxing journey.

Adonia

This is the smallest of the P&O cruises fleet which means that it can dock in some ports which the bigger ones cannot do. She has a great combination of the class of traditional cruising whilst, being a modern ship, she has all the up to date technology and styling. She only caters for 710 passengers so you would be able to make friends easily.

Arcadia

The Arcadia has been called a floating art gallery as she contains around 3,000 works of art. During the day you can enjoy a first class choice of cafes, bars and pubs, then visit the luxurious spa for some extra relaxation. In the evenings you can choose from theaters, music entertainment shows or a casino amongst other things.

Artemis

This is another smaller ship if you prefer the quieter more intimate vacation. Having been recently refurbished, she is a very modern and stylish boat. Another advantage is that all her cabins have a view of the ocean. The remaining five liners are available whether you are traveling as a couple or as a whole family.

Aurora

If you have done any cruises before you may well recognize this luxury liner from the stern which is tiered elegantly. There are a variety of bars to suit your mood whilst your kids are looked after in the children’s clubs. Or, you can simply enjoy some time together around the family pool. As a mid size ocean going ship she could be one to choose if you are embarking on a world cruise.

Azura

The Azura is one of the two large ships in the P and O cruises fleet. This means that it is ideally suited for families as there is plenty of entertaining things for all ages both throughout the days and in the evenings.

There are 4 swimming pools, plenty of bars, restaurants to suit any tastes and a brilliant theater.

Oceana

The Oceana is another mid sized ship but it also has 4 pools as well as 6 whirlpool spas. There is again a wide choice of places to eat, drink and be entertained in the evenings. She has a unique sports court in her funnel and a gym which has an ocean view.

Oriana

The Oriana was designed with the British passenger in mind. For any cricket enthusiast one of the bars here is the other Lords Tavern. She has a stunning atrium complete with a ceiling of Tiffany glass.

This luxury liner is P&O’s venue for music festivals when she hosts performers many of whom are well known names from opera, television, stage and screen.

Ventura

The last ship in their fleet is the Ventura. She is the second large ship boasting a seemingly never ending range of activities. There are twelve separate restaurants as diverse as a pizzeria and its signature restaurant by Marco Pierre White.

You will not be disappointed whichever of these ships you decide to travel on as the excellent P and O truly cater for all.
